Sirdar Summer Crochet Along

Welcome to the Summer Picnic Crochet Along from Sirdar!  This yarn pack contains all 14 balls of yarn required to complete the project.

The Summer Picnic Crochet Along (CAL) will provide picnic fun for everyone!  Designed by Sapphire of Spit Spot Stitches, it features her distinctive quirky use of colour and tons of texture.  Perfect for beginners, but with enough different techniques to entertain all crocheters, the Summer Picnic blanket begins with simple granny stripes.  The CAL is inspired by summer fruit and includes fun motifs, pretty ruffles and crochet gingham - and is finished with two kinds of pom pom.

The project launches on 16 April 2025 .  The free pattern will be released in parts, along with video tutorials, on the following dates:

• Part 1 - Wednesday 7th May at 10am
• Part 2 - Wednesday 14th May at 10am
• Part 3 - Wednesday 21st May at 10am
• Part 4 - Wednesday 28th May at 10am
• Part 5 - Wednesday 4th June at 10am
• CAL Finale - Wednesday 11th June at 10am

The pack also includes a free Summer CAL label to use on your completed blanket.

You will need a 4.00mm crochet hook.  The finished blanket will measure approxmimately 150cm x 105cm and the yarn pack quantities given are for this size.

Please note:  Pack quantities are given for the project when worked to the tension stated in the patterns.  If a different hook is used, or your tension differs from the designer's, additional yarn may be required.
